Hello!
I noticed that you could make OKC a stop!
We would love you to stop by!
Also you can take a look at how the coffee roasters are made.
We build several types of Roasters, Grinders and machines for the trade!
On the Roasters you can see,
Total Electric, different gas heating models and our new Revelation roaster!
This model uses the coffee smoke for fuel! We have models operated with only electric power no gas! They are have very low power use compared to standard type roasters.
If you get a chance to stop by Muddy-Dog Roasters, you can see one in action!
Let us know if you can stop by!
Dan
I’d recommend, at least between New York and Washington DC, three places:
1. Small World Coffee in Princeton, NJ
2. Jay’s Shaved Ice, in Towson, MD
3. Murky Coffee, of course, in Washington D.C. and Arlington VA.
There are so many others! I wish I could do it again…
We’re excited to have you stop over here in New Orleans.
We’ll see if there’s anything going on while you’re here.
Yeah…right!
Glad to see you stopping to see that long-haired freakish roaster at Larry’s Beans. The guy thinks he’s a rock star. OK, so he’s only a rock star roaster, but can he pull a decent shot?
Oh, and you’re going to see that loser at Cuvee? Krikey, you may as well keep on driving. That guy don’t know jack.
OK, I lie. I really love the guy, but he ain’t in Spring, TX much. Good luck finding him. Try Austin……….hmmmm…..
peace
Bob
No Intelligentsia??? Chicago (and now L.A.) host this amazing roaster who coined the term ‘direct trade’ and have strong commitments to building relationships and sustainability in every coffee-growing continent on the planet.
Are you still planning to come to Colorado? I didn’t see Koffee Kompanions in the list. While we don’t sell coffee, we can show you where to visit for an informative experience and great coffee!!
Hey when you come back,

If you come back through Austin, you have to check out a new coffee place called Kick Butt Coffee (www.kickbuttcoffee.com or http://www.myspace.com\kickbuttcoffee). Kick Butt has a martial arts theme because the owner is a martial arts instructor.
Kick Butt has martial arts movies playing most of the time. They will also have music and will host parties. The coffee and the chai latte are awesome!! They also offer coffee drinks with alcohol.
Check it out!!
I saw your blog in Clark’s alumni newsletter and noticed you’ll be in NM, If you make it to Tucson, Arizona and need a place to stay, you are completely welcome to stay with me, we have plenty of room, and we are surrounded by coffee shops (and some Zapatista Coffee action: http://www.cafeparalavidadigna.com).
Oh, I was in Nicaragua with Melanie in 2003 (but you may not remember me…).
Good luck on your journey,
-Monica Stephens
Don’t miss the roaster members of Cooperative Coffees – http://www.cooperativecoffees.com.
I’m envious. Sounds like loads of fun!
I just want to give a shout out to Melanie and Sara who won my vote for being the best SCAA volunteers at the Great Lakes Regional Barista Competition!!! I really admire your passion not only for coffee, but also for the greater good of humanity. I love you girls! Thanks for making my job as the GLRBC host so much fun! I miss you already!
Add us on your list! Ozo Coffee Co. 5360 Arapahoe Ave. Boulder CO 80301

Fabulous idea! If you ever head north of the 49th parallel, come check out Umi Cafe in Ottawa at 610 Somerset St. E. There’s even couches for you upstairs to sleep in!
Stay cosy!
Thanks for the comment Umi! We look forward to heading north and finding out more about your local and community centered cafe.
